What is included with the rental of Waller Creek Boathouse?
You are given exclusive use of Waller Creek Boathouse public rental space for your contracted time.
Does rental space include the Cafe?
No, the Café will remain open to the public, unless specifically bought out for the duration of your event. Should you wish to reserve the café's interior and terrace, please inquire with the Café events team for a specific quote. Reservations must be made no less than 30 days in advance of the event date.
Who sets up and breaks down all tables and chairs for my event?
All set up and breakdown is the responsibility of the client.
Are there any decorating restrictions for the facility?
No candles, confetti, or glitter are permitted on the premises. All other decorating restrictions will be discussed with the client before contracts are finalized.
What are the parking arrangements?
There is no public parking at Waller Creek Boathouse. We recommend the Austin Convention Center garage located at 201 E 2nd St. Entrances from Brazos and San Jacinto. (No cash accepted)
What are the arrangements for load in and out?
Caterers and other vendors delivering for the event can unload in the driveway up to the stop sign. After loading or unloading is complete, vehicles will need to relocate to a permanent parking location. Delivery and pick up times must be arranged between the client and the Austin Rowing Club staff at least 30 days prior to the event date. It is the responsibility of the client to relay the delivery/pick up arrangements and information to the appropriate vendors. Generally, arrangements for delivery of rental items are scheduled for arrival 2-3 hours prior to the start of the event. Please coordinate with your vendor to establish an appropriate delivery window and arrange for delivery to be completed during that time. There will not be staff onsite to accept any unscheduled deliveries or pick ups.
Does Waller Creek Boathouse have a sound system, audio/visual equipment or PA in house?
The Waller Creek Boathouse does not own any audio/visual equipment. We can rent any equipment you need for your event and handle all deliveries for an additional coordination fee.
How late can music play?
Outdoor music and amplified sound equipment may operate between 10:00AM and 10:00PM. Additional time can be added if approved by Austin Parks and Recreation Department. The sound permit for any outdoor music is the responsibility of the renter.
Are there hotels nearby?
The Waller Creek Boathouse is within walking distance of the Four Seasons, The Line, JW Marriott, and several other downtown hotels.
